Description
We are seeking a qualified EP registered with HCPC who has experience completing EHCN assessments. This role offers a unique opportunity for personal and professional growth, as you will provide a full range of psychological services for children and young people aged 0-25 years and their parents/carers. Your expertise will be instrumental in offering psychological consultation and advice to schools and other educational institutions.
Responsibility
To support schools in alignment with the educational psychology model of service delivery.
Your role is not just about delivering effective and evidence-based psychological practice. It's about being a crucial part of a team and working together to achieve positive outcomes for C/YP and their families. You will align with the EP and inclusion services vision for a collaborative, multi-disciplinary and early intervention approach to supporting C/YP with SEND.
Qualification – Essential
* GCSE Grade A-C (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics.
* Honours degree in psychology
* Master’s or doctorate in educational psychology (or equivalent post-graduate qualification)
* Eligible for registration with the HCPC & British Psychological Society
* Advanced –Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, social media and CRM.
Essential - Skills, Abilities, & Experience
* Demonstrable skills in the assessment of individual children and young people between 0-25 years
* Able to use the most effective model of service delivery
* Ability to write reports giving the implications of findings and to consider the processes of children and young people’s learning
* Knowledge of the most current and relevant legislation (e.g. SEND Code of Practice, Children and Families Act)
* Experience working from a person-centred approach is a must for this role, as it is crucial in understanding and addressing the unique needs of each child and young person.
* The ability to manage competing demands and meet relevant timescales is an essential requirement for this role, as it ensures the timely delivery of services and support to children and young people.
* Ability to build and sustain positive working relationships, offering both support and challenge where appropriate
* Comprehensive and practical communication skills, including negotiation, flexibility and working with a wide range of audiences.
* Have a thorough knowledge and understanding of children and young people’s needs, how they learn and how to progress
* Ability to deliver practical training
* Competent user of ICT
* To effectively manage independent travel to in and out of appointments
Essential Compliance Requirements
* Five Years of Reference.
* Enhanced DBS on the update service
* A pre-engagement screening is mandatory for this role.
