Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children with very challenging behaviour? Do you possess strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and a desire to help children overcome their behavioural difficulties? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Mentor to join our team and support children in need.

We are looking for an experienced professional who can work closely with students, families, and educators to implement effective strategies, promote social and emotional well-being, and foster a safe and supportive environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide one-on-one support to children with challenging behavior, both in the classroom and in designated support areas.
- Develop and implement individualized behavior plans in collaboration with the school's behavior support team.
- Assist teachers in implementing behavior management strategies within the classroom setting.
- Conduct behavioral assessments, observations, and data collection to monitor progress and make appropriate adjustments to intervention strategies.
- Establish positive relationships with students, parents, and staff to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Deliver tailored interventions, social skills training, and emotional regulation techniques to students.
- Support students in developing self-esteem, confidence, and self-control through targeted interventions and positive reinforcement.
- Work closely with other professionals, such as psychologists, social workers, and speech therapists, to ensure a comprehensive and holistic approach to student support.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience working with children or adolescents with challenging behaviour.
- Sound knowledge of behaviour management techniques, positive behaviour support, and evidence-based interventions.
- Strong observational and assessment skills to identify triggers and patterns in behaviour.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
- Empathy, patience, and resilience in working with children facing behavioral challenges.
- Familiarity with relevant legislation, policies, and safeguarding procedures.

**Preferred**:

- Additional certifications or training in behavior analysis, counseling, or therapeutic approaches.
- Experience working with children with specific behavioral diagnoses, such as ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, or emotional and behavioral disorders.
