Your role will focus on the Quality Management System, Internal Programmes for Continuous Improvement and Security processes.


Your Quality duties will involve:

  • Maintaining the company's quality procedures, standards and specifications
  • Review customer requirements and making sure they are met
  • Work with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers
  • Ensure production processes meet international and national standards (ISO 9001 and AS9100)
  • Look at ways to reduce waste and increase efficiency
  • Define quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff
  • Monitor performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports
  • Make suggestions for changes and improvements and how to implement them
  • Use relevant quality tools and ensure managers and other staff understand how to improve the business
  • Perform internal audits on the Quality Management System to measure its effectiveness
  • Provide training to new and current staff on the Quality Management System
  • Making sure the company is working as effectively as possible to keep up with competitors.


Your Security duties will involve:

  • Hold ultimate authority for control of all security and associated accreditations, compliances and activity across the business.
  • Full responsibility for documenting and maintaining the Security Policy and Risk Management Accreditation Document Sets
  • Develop and maintain policy in-line with HMG and Industry standards
  • Manage contract obligations and associated actions including logging and distributing Security Aspects Letters, policy management and arranging and conducting audits
  • Actively manage the security vetting processes
  • Attend various Security conferences
  • Report to Directors on any new notification/developments in defence industry


It is estimate that the role will be split 80% Quality tasks and 20% Security tasks.


To be considered for this opportunity:


You will need to be a dynamic individual that can demonstrate the ability to work to tight deadlines


  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Experience of developing policy in-line with ISO 9001 essential
  • Familiarity with PowerBi would be an advantage
  • Be self-motivated, able to work independently and be confident to work closely with the Directors.
  • A pro-active approach to problem solving and investigation
  • Strong communications skills and be able to work as part of an international team
  • The ability to remain flexible and adapt to changing customer requirements
  • Familiarity with the industrial world or a desire to develop skills in this sector.
  • Proficiency in Office Suite, especially Excel.


The right candidate will have the following experience:

  • Experience of developing policy in-line with ISO standards essential
  • Familiarity with UK MOD security policy and implementation would be an advantage
  • Hold existing SC clearance or willing to undergo vetting for clearance


The right candidate will have the following skills and background:

  • A pro-active approach to problem solving and investigation
  • Strong communications skills and be able to work as part of an international team
  • The ability to remain flexible and adapt to changing customer requirements

All employees are required to undergo pre-employment screening and must be able to satisfy clearance criteria for UK Security Vetting to SC Level
