Through this opportunity you will develop and advance Primark's circular economy strategy, aligning it with the Primark Cares program. This involves testing and scaling initiatives that improve Primark's commercial and reputational standing while challenging the current business model. Additionally, you will work closely with Corporate Affairs to ensure clear communication that protects and enhances Primark's reputation
What You’ll Do:
In your role, you’ll collaborate with different people across a range of skillsets. Here’s a flavour of your day-to-day:
- Deliver Primark’s circular economy strategies across four key pillars.
- Ensure product durability and recyclability through Circular Product Standard & Circular Design training.
- Collaborate with strategic partners to enhance circular economy knowledge and capabilities.
- Work with design teams to implement and test circular design strategies.
- Develop and test a comprehensive Circular Business Model strategy with key stakeholders.
- Engage customers by presenting our circular initiatives clearly and excitingly, in line with regulations.
- Develop a cohesive circular L&D strategy in partnership with L&D and Primark Cares teams.
- Facilitate commercial innovation opportunities focused on the circular economy and new materials.
- Lead the Circular & Customer team within Primark Cares and support the Director as needed.
- Collaborate with Product Sustainability and Sourcing teams to engage suppliers in circular economy strategies.
What You’ll Bring
Here at Primark, we want everyone to feel valued – so please bring your authentic self to work, of course with some other key experience and abilities for this role in particular:
- 15+ years in Buying, including 5 years in senior management, with relevant fashion or commerce qualifications.
- Proven success in implementing Buying strategies and fostering a high-performance, innovative culture.
- Strong leadership and coaching skills, with experience in target setting, performance evaluation, and employee engagement.
- Excellent relationship management at executive levels and skilled negotiation in supplier management.
- Effective multitasker with strong creative vision, outstanding communication skills, and the ability to influence across all business levels.
