Role DescriptionnWe are seeking a Finance Assistant to join our team in East Kilbride. This is a full-time on-site role. As a Finance Assistant, your key responsibilities will include:n·

Operate all aspects of sub contractor ledger including processing of sub contractor applications, verifying sub contractor tax status with HMRC, certifying sub contractor payment certificatesn·

Ensure compliance with all HMRC rules around tax status of sub contractorn·

Make sure correct Vat status is determined when processing sub contractor certificates and paymentsn·

Reconcile purchase ledger and sub contractor payment runsn·

All aspects of sales ledger from billing to chasing payments due if necessaryn·

Provide holiday cover for weekly payroll processing as necessaryn·

Ability to work closely with other team membersn·

Motivate and mentor other members of the teamn·

Any ad hoc duties as required

QualificationsnBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldnExperience of sub contractor ledger is highly desirablenExperience of payrollnExperience in financial administration or related rolenProficiency in financial software and Microsoft ExcelnStrong attention to detail and accuracynExcellent organizational and time management skillsnAbility to work well in a team and independently
