About The Role:
The Enabling Independence Officer (OTA) role is based within the Adult Social Care Team, in the Occupational Therapy Hub and Initial Contact Team.
It is essential that you have experience of triaging new referrals, completing proportionate telephone assessments and visiting residents in the community; completing functional assessments for equipment and adaptations.
You must be competent in strength based clinical assessment and reasoning skills, and have effective written and verbal communication.
You will report to the Assistant Team Manager in a busy First Response Team in the Adult Social Care Service.
You need to be able to plan, organise and evaluate your own workload; be self-motivated, work well in a team and with other professionals and outside agencies.
You will be supervised by an Occupational Therapist, receiving regular supervision and access to informal support and training
