Support Worker for Young People with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties

Role
As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining a safe and nurturing environment where young people can thrive. Your tasks will include conducting key working sessions, facilitating and supervising family contact, organizing and participating in various activities and events, maintaining records, attending meetings, and performing household tasks.
You will have the chance to work in beautiful, modern homes that have been praised by Ofsted for their high-quality décor and homely feel. We believe that every child and young person deserves to live in a safe and nurturing environment where they can grow, develop, and reach their full potential.
Responsibilities
* Create a safe and nurturing environment for young people, enabling them to flourish and reach their full potential.
* Conduct key working sessions, building positive relationships with residents and providing emotional support.
* Help young people develop essential life skills and support their overall well-being.
* Facilitate and supervise family contact, promoting healthy relationships and supporting emotional well-being.
* Organize and participate in various activities and events to engage young people and help them explore new interests and talents.
* Maintain accurate records, documenting observations, progress, and incidents.
* Attend meetings with other professionals involved in the care and support of young people.
* Assist with household tasks to ensure homes are clean, organized, and comfortable for the young people.

Requirements
* Passion for working with children and young people.
* Clean UK driving license.
* Drive and commitment to make a positive impact in their lives.
* Experience in working with young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
* Harmful sexual behaviour
* Gang and radicalisation and intervention Program (GRIP)
* Child Exploitation (CSE)
* Complex Needs
* Minimum of 6 months of recent paid UK experience as a support worker.
* NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People’s Workforce or higher.
* Mandatory training certifications.
* Preferably MAPA trained.
* Competent in all aspects of care.
* Flexible and reliable.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Passionate about patient care.
