**Job Title: Support Worker for Children in Educational Setting**
Job Overview: This is an exciting opportunity to join an educational setting in West Bridgeford and surrounding areas dedicated to helping children with special needs become more independent. As a Children's Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting these vulnerable children, providing assistance in various aspects of their daily lives. Key Responsibilities:
- **Supporting Independence**: Assist children with special needs in developing essential life skills, fostering independence in daily activities.
- **Engagement and Interaction**: Engage positively with children through activities such as day trips, games, and educational support, creating a supportive and inclusive environment.
- **Time Management**: Manage free time effectively, providing guidance and facilitating activities that enhance the overall well-being of the children.
- **Collaboration**: Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a positive and nurturing atmosphere for both staff and pupils.
Working Conditions:
- **Location**: West Bridgeford and surrounding areas
- **Setting**: Educational - Schools, community centres, libraries etc
- **Age Range**: KS3, KS4
- **Contract Type**: Full-time permanent position
- **Working Schedule**: Monday to Friday, 9am to 3 pm
Qualifications and Experience:
- **Qualifications Needed**: None required (Bonus if you have any)
- **Training**: Full training provided, including a week-long program with ongoing support.
- **Opportunities** You will be offered a Level 3 teaching assistant qualification if you don't already have one after 6 months. When you complete your teaching assistant course you will receive a pay rise of £2,000.
Salary and Start Date:
- **Pay**:£13 an hour
- **Start Date**: February (flexible for the right individual)
