**Job Title: Residential Support Worker for Children with Special Needs**

Job Overview: This is an exciting opportunity to join a residential setting in Nottingham dedicated to helping children with special needs become more independent. As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting these vulnerable children, providing assistance in various aspects of their daily lives. Key Responsibilities:

- **Supporting Independence**: Assist children with special needs in developing essential life skills, fostering independence in daily activities.
- **Engagement and Interaction**: Engage positively with children through activities such as day trips, games, and educational support, creating a supportive and inclusive environment.
- **Meal Preparation**: Contribute to the preparation of meals, ensuring the nutritional needs of the children are met.
- **Time Management**: Manage free time effectively, providing guidance and facilitating activities that enhance the overall well-being of the children.
- **Collaboration**: Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a positive and nurturing atmosphere for both staff and pupils.

Working Conditions:

- **Location**: Nottingham
- **Setting**: Residential
- **Age Range**: Mixed
- **Contract Type**: Full-time permanent position
- **Working Schedule**: Fixed 3 days on and 3 days off rota, averaging 4 days off per week. Working hours from 07:15 to 10:00 PM each working day with breaks for lunch and later in the day.

Qualifications and Experience:

- **Qualifications Needed**: None required (Bonus if you have any)
- **Training**: Full training provided, including a week-long program with ongoing support.
- **Opportunities** for additional qualifications like Health and Social Care Levels 1 + 2 are available and paid for.Experience: No experience required (Experience working with children and/or young adults would be a bonus)

Salary and Start Date:

- **Salary**: £28,900 - £31,000
- **Start Date**: February (flexible for the right individual)
