Your responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant will include:
v  Supporting teaching and learning
v  Providing one-one support to students with their learning activities
v  Implementing strategies and interventions to support student’s individual needs
v  Working closely with the teacher and other support staff to develop learning plans
v  Encouraging independence and self-confidence in the students while fostering positive relationships and a sense of belonging within the school community
v  Celebrating achievements and progress, no matter how small, to motivate and inspire the student to reach their goals.
Teaching Assistant Requirements:
v  Previous experience working with children
v  Must have/apply for an Enhanced DBS and have it uploaded on the update service (PK Education can support you through this process)
v  The ability to quickly build positive relationships with both staff and students
v  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with students, staff, and parents/carers
v  Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude, with a commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students
v  Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the changing needs of the student and the school environment.
