Teaching Personnel is recruiting on behalf of a well-regarded two-form entry primary school in Lancashire (FY6). We are looking for a motivated and professional core subject graduate to join the school as a Teaching Assistant. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in an educational setting, particularly for those considering a future in teaching or planning to pursue a PGCE.

About the Role:

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will support learning across both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. Your primary responsibility will be working with small groups of lower-ability students, helping to raise attainment in core subjects. This role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic, adaptable, and committed to making a difference in children's education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support small groups of students to improve their skills in core subjects.
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons across EYFS, KS1, and KS2.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students who need extra help.
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Contribute to the overall development and progress of the students.

About You:

  • You are a recent graduate with a degree in a core subject (e.g., English, Maths, Science).
  • You have experience working with children, either in an educational setting or through voluntary work.
  • You are dedicated, flexible, and professional, with a genuine interest in pursuing a career in education.
  • You are comfortable working with children both one-on-one and in small groups.
