Your Company
Our Client are industry leaders with over 45 years of experience specialising in the piling industry with a primary focus on relationships. They now have an exciting opportunity for a full time Business Development Executive to join their flagship site in Middlesbrough.
Your New Role:
Reporting directly to the Head of Business development, the Business Development Executive (BDE) is responsible for driving the growth and expansion of the company's business.
This role involves identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and achieving sales targets. The BDE will work closely with other areas of the business to ensure the successful delivery of solutions to clients. You will be dealing with capital goods sales of substantial value.
Market Research and Analysis:
* Conduct market research to identify potential new clients, industry trends, and market demands.
* Analyse competitors and develop strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
Lead Generation and Networking:
* Identify and qualify potential business opportunities through various channels such as networking, referrals, online research, and cold calling.
* Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to network and generate leads.
Client Relationship Management:
* Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with new and existing clients.
* Understand clients’ needs and tailor solutions to meet those needs.
* Act as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Sales Strategy and Execution:
* Develop and execute effective sales strategies to achieve business growth objectives.
* Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and contracts to prospective clients.
* Negotiate terms and close sales agreements.
Collaboration and Coordination:
* Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, product development, and customer service) to ensure alignment and support for business development initiatives.
* Provide feedback from clients to help improve products and services.
Reporting and Documentation:
* Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and sales performance metrics.
* Prepare regular reports for management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.
What you will need to succeed
* You must have 10 years+ experience in a Business development, sales or similar type role and B2B experience is essential.
* Experience in the relevant industry and international markets is advantageous.
* This role may require travel to meet with clients and attend industry events.
* Flexibility to work outside standard business hours when necessary.
