We are looking for a Legal Intern to carry out a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.
This internship is an excellent opportunity to gain entry level experience and skills within a legal function.
Your Tasks
- Conducting legal research in various areas of law.
- Drafting, filing, and managing various business entity documents.
- Maintain and update records.
- Review and negotiate form contracts such as nondisclosure agreements, service agreements and statements of work.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams on internal standard processes, operational matters as well as special projects.
- Communicate with internal stakeholders regarding risks presented by contract terms and possible strategies to mitigate such risks.
- Organization of records and file materials within various electronic document management systems.
- Maintain and develop legal knowledge base.
Your Profile
- Bachelor's Degree and/or Master's Degree or final stage placement year to complete degree.
- Excellent organization skills, ability to manage multiple priorities, and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft software (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) and related software packages.
- A team player with a strong work ethic.
- Effective problem solving and critical thinking skills along with the ability to use discretion and good judgement.
- Dedicated, with precise attention to detail and who is able to manage a workload in time.
- Confident and professional in written and spoken English.
