An opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals to join the Gypsy Traveller Team on a permanent basis.
Helping to manage our 3 existing sites at Tarvit Mill, Heatherywood and Thortonwood. Liaising with nomadic Gypsy Travellers who pass through Fife to ensure their wellbeing.Representing Fife Council on a national basis, contributing to and sharing best practice with other local authorities.
Linking closely with the Project Team delivering the on-site improvements.
How your specific experience of service delivery and partnership working will support your potential contribution to the role in working with this particular ethnic minority community, their heritage and culture.
'You should have experience of working with the range of supports available to tenants and an understanding of the barriers faced by the Gypsy Traveller community.
You should have an awareness of the Scottish Government and COSLA joint Action Plan on improving the lives of Gypsy/Travellers and an ability to support change and innovation as part of service development and improvement.
You should be educated to SCQF level 5 which includes National 5 or SVQ level 2 in Housing or equivalent or Standard Grades at Credit level or equivalent.
