Main Duties and Responsibilities to include:
- As the first person to meet our guests you will set the tone of our friendly Yorkshire welcome to Sandburn Hall from guest check in to guest check out and dealing with all the customer queries throughout their stay.
- Switchboard, first port of call for business, answering incoming calls, room reservations, restaurant bookings.
- Inform clients of our hotel services, including breakfast and dining options in our Tykes restaurant and other facilities
- Liaise with Housekeepers, restaurant team and maintenance to provide an overall comfortable guest experience. We are not a big business so you will get to know everyone.
- Serve on the hotel lounge and bar, including coffees, food offering and cocktails.
What we're looking for.
- Natural hospitality charm and a passion for service. You will enjoy working as part of a small team.
- You will have high standards & genuinely want to make guests smile with great attention to detail.
- Strong organisational skills
- As a small team someone who is happy being "hands on" with a flexibility in your working week to ensure a positive guest experience.
- Shifts over monday sunday
- Own transport required located just off A64 at Flaxton.
- We will provide you with all the information to recommend all the amazing things to do in local tourist spots, including places to dine, shop and sightsee
About us
Sandburn Hall is a family run leisure business in our 1000 acre estate.
Our new 40-bed hotel is adding to the business which has an 18-hole golf course, Sports Bar, Tykes restaurant & 3 function rooms.
We also have our 5 star Griffon Lodges complex also connected to Sandburn.We are surrounded by beautiful lakes and woodland, located at Flaxton, just off the A64, approx. 8 miles from York.
What makes us unique is that we are a large family run business that prides itself on having locally sourced produce so we contribute to our local area and our employees are recognised as the ones that makes the business a success.
