We're looking for positive, energetic, and professional Customer Service Representatives to join our constantly growing team in Teesside on a full time, permanent basis.

You'll spend your time on the phone, talking to our customers and asking insightful questions to identify their needs.

Our customers will be calling you when they need advice and support, so helping people and giving them the best experience possible, will matter to you.


At AXA we're adopting a Hybrid way of working, you'll work two days in the Teesside office each week with the rest home working.


What you'll be doing:

  • Developing and maintaining product knowledge across all AXA Direct offerings as per business requirements.
  • Managing and responding to customer communications
  • Liaising with other business areas to ensure that the customer query is dealt with in an efficient manner.
  • Undertaking phone work during extreme peak or crisis times.
  • Using best practice to deliver superior customer outcomes.

Working Hours & Shift Pattern:
Full time, 37.5 hours per week. 8-hour shifts between the hours of 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday. Some weekend work also required.

Induction & Training:
Induction Date: Tuesday 9th May 2023


You'll receive a comprehensive induction and benefit from a structured training programme with one of our specialist Trainers, which will be delivered on-site at our Teesside Offices.

We'll give you all the training and support you need to become a confident and skilled Advisor, including continual development of your technical knowledge and interpersonal skills.

Louise - "I started off at AXA nearly five years ago as a Customer Service Agent straight from college.

On top of talking to our customers everyday about their car insurance, I did an apprenticeship paid for by AXA and then subsequently gained my Cert CII and Insurance Practitioner Apprenticeship which gave me a wealth of knowledge of the industry and business.

Since finishing my apprenticeship I have been given amazing opportunities to work in other areas of the business such as the document admin team, assisted in new inductions alongside the training team, became a team assistant and now I'm now working on a multimillion-pound transformation project which has really allowed me to develop and push myself.

  • Customer service experience
  • Excellent telephone skills, easily able to build rapport and focus on the customer
  • Excellent communication and listening skills with high attention to detail and quality
  • Selfmotivated and able to work without close supervision
  • Highly motivated able to use your own initiative
  • Ability to prioritise and manage time efficiently
  • A strong team player
