The Role


The purpose of the role is to support the HUB Group strategy operating as the first line Senior Compliance Manager.

You will do this by providing support to the design, development and promotion of HUB's propositions (advised and non-advised), ensuring thatrisks are understood, and liaising with Risk and Compliance for second line oversight.

You will also provide oversight of activities being carried out by Compliance Monitoring and Group Internal Audit, and the actions arising from these reviews.


Examples of Key Activities

  • Support the HUB Group in ensuring that it is compliant with regulatory requirements in relation to its business (including partners).
  • Engaging with colleagues across the HUB business to provide early, constructive support and guidance to help shape initiatives
  • Reviewing Compliance colleagues' identification, interpretation, and analysis of the impact of proposed or new regulatory change and support the implementation of recommendations for action where appropriate and supporting project initiatives.
  • Providing input to product and proposition change and development
  • Assisting the business to explore new relationships/provide support for existing relationships to enable them to deliver its propositions and services in a regulatory compliant manner
  • Evaluating and reporting on operating, regulatory and strategic risks
  • Ensure that staff training on compliance issues remains up to date

Skills and Experience

  • Extensive experience in a relevant financial services role is
    essential

  • Experience of dealing with regulatory frameworks, their mechanics and implications is
    essential

  • Experience in successfully managing relationships with customeroriented firms.
  • Experience of conduct risk regime.
  • Experience of (or a desire to get into) firstline compliance is
    essential

  • Proven ability to assimilate, comprehend and present information verbally and in writing.
  • Knowledge of Financial Conduct Authority regulations and compliance framework.
  • High level of customer orientation and excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Desire to be a key player in building and developing a business.
  • Team player with a focus on leadership by example.
  • Ability to implement robust processes and procedures to satisfy regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to manage complex relationships with senior management.
  • Ability to balance, prioritise and deliver against many different tasks.
  • Able to work crossfunctionally to deliver goals.
  • Sound IT skills and knowledge of systems.
