Health Care Support workers are valuable members of our multidisciplinary team supporting the Qualified Nurses and Medical staff in providing holistic care to patients in custody.

Healthcare services operate 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, and the successful applicants would need to be flexible in their approach to meeting the demands of the service.

To contribute and support delivery of Healthcare services in custody at HMP Garth, by providing nursing care by taking clinical observations of a patient; understanding the NEWS2; Venepuncture and ECG.

Training will be provided.

To assist nursing staff in their assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of individual care plans.

To work effectively in providing multidisciplinary care, working with internal and external agencies.

To promote service user recovery, and thus support independent and healthier lifestyles
