About the Role

We are seeking a Community Support Worker to join our Adult Disability Service in Preston. As a Community Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities to live independently in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to individuals with disabilities, including assistance with daily living tasks, medication management, and household chores.
  • Support individuals to participate in community activities, such as shopping, social events, and outdoor activities.
  • Assist individuals with financial management, including budgeting and bill payment.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals, promoting their physical and mental well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care and support.
Requirements
  • Passion for supporting individuals with disabilities and promoting their independence.
  • Empathy and understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with individuals, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and sleep-ins.
  • Basic knowledge of health and social care principles and practices.
