About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Community Support Worker to join our team in Preston, covering Lea, Ashton, Fulwood, and Ribbleton. As a Community Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support and care to individuals with disabilities, enabling them to live independently and maintain their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to individuals with disabilities, including assistance with daily living tasks, medication management, and household chores.
  • Support individuals to participate in community activities, such as shopping, outdoor activities, and social events.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with service users, their families, and other professionals involved in their care.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive and person-centered care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individual care plans, ensuring that the needs and preferences of service users are met.
Requirements
  • Passion for delivering high-quality care and support to individuals with disabilities.
  • Empathy and understanding of the challenges faced by service users.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with service users, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours and shifts.
  • Basic knowledge of health and social care principles and practices, with a willingness to learn and develop skills.
