About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Community Support Worker to join our Adult Disability Service in Preston. As a key member of our team, you will provide essential support to individuals with disabilities, enabling them to live independently and participate fully in their communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to individuals with disabilities, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as household chores, meal preparation, and medication management.
  • Support individuals to participate in community activities, such as shopping, social events, and leisure pursuits.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with service users, their families, and other professionals.
  • Contribute to a safe and supportive environment, adhering to health and safety protocols and reporting any concerns.
Requirements
  • Passion for supporting individuals with disabilities and promoting their independence.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and sleep-ins, with a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Basic knowledge of health and social care principles, with a willingness to learn and develop skills.
  • DBS clearance and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and data protection.
