GlobalGiving is looking for a Growth Associate (Prospecting) to join our UK team. You will be responsible for new donor prospect research, identification, validation, and outreach.

This role is right for someone who has the ability to conduct in-depth research and identify well matched opportunities and is able to multitask, learn quickly, prioritise, meet deadlines, work across teams, have great attention to detail, and be flexible and willing to work on a wide variety of tasks.


GlobalGiving in the UK has grown significantly over the last 2 years, leveraging new philanthropic income from a mix of corporate and major donors across the UK and Europe.

We have further ambitions to continue to grow over the next 3 years to enable us to support more community-led nonprofits.

In order to achieve these ambitions, we are now expanding the UK Growth team and are recruiting for two new Growth Associate positions.

Primary Responsibilities


The Growth Associate (Prospecting) will work within GlobalGiving's UK Growth team, specifically focusing on new donor prospect research, identification, validation, and outreach.


  • Conduct indepth research to identify corporate and major donor leads by cause, territory, and alignment to product and service offering.
  • Provide and maintain donor intelligence by leveraging donor and funder lead generation tools, indepth research, and internal data.
  • Produce comprehensive longlist and shortlist prospect pipelines, identifying and presenting missionaligned donor prospects
  • Support prospecting by cultivating new leads and helping the team with proposal and content creation, research, and meetings.
  • Scan all forms of media communications for opportunities to engage in corporate and major donor philanthropy.
  • Identify events, conferences, and network meetings for the UK Growth team to attend.
  • Assist in highquality content creation for compelling pitches to corporate and major donor prospects.
  • Support knowledge management of products and services for the UK Growth team and work with internal teams to shape and document additional product and service improvements.
  • Track and attend webinars and conferences about corporate and major donor philanthropy topics.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for corporate and major donor enquiries, and provide exceptional customer service to donors looking to partner with GlobalGiving.
  • Validate inbound enquiries and triage across the team.
  • Use customer service tools, including Zendesk and Salesforce, to manage all prospect and partner communications.
  • Ensure consistent, accurate, and organised records of prospects and partners and their activity in Salesforce and other systems used by GlobalGiving.
  • Organise and diarise internal team meetings and external partner meetings when required.
  • Maintain uptodate meeting notes and actions, and manage daytoday processes and activities.
  • Support team with data and reporting needs.
  • Create case studies, presentations, and impact reports for partners using design tools e.g., Canva.
  • Provide financial reports, raise invoices, and other supporting documentation for existing partners.
  • Engage in cultivation activities for new donor partners, by preparing briefs, joining donor cultivation calls and meetings when required, inputting into proposals, building giving pages, and generating charitable gift cards.
  • Support team reporting requirements global and UK staff meeting updates, quarterly metrics and KPIs reports, and UK Board reports, etc.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, economics, international development, environmental studies, social enterprise, philanthropy, psychology, or related fields.
  • Demonstrable track record with at least work 23 years of experience in philanthropic giving and fundraising and/or prospect research, data collection, and analysisdriven insight for the nonprofit, charitable or social enterprise sector; or having transferable skills from the private or public sectors such as environmental social and governance (ESG), corporate social responsibility (CSR), sales and marketing or social or economic research, or financial due diligence that can be adapted t
