Creating Detailed Production Schedules:
Develop schedules from production plans, maximising resource use and meeting set production specifications and schedules.

Managing Work Orders:

Release manufacturing work orders and carry out daily, plant-level MRP to create and manage production requirements to meet the production delivery schedules.

Sequencing and Schedule Adherence:
Determine the sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipment dates according to the master schedule/plan. Monitor schedule adherence and manage the plan through collaboration with the wider team.

Collaborating with Customer Care:
Work closely with the customer care team to provide appropriate delivery information and responses.

Planning:
Translate forecasts, incoming volume, and work scopes into a production plan with a time-phased build schedule. Set key performance indicators for master plan accuracy. Identify current planned level of demand and create tactical production plans to meet customer demand. Support in calculating production lead times, managing load levelling and bottleneck scheduling. Analyse production floor status through input/output control reporting. Assist material planners in maintaining planning parameters in the MRP planning systems. Provide input into S&OP and short-term planning processes. Offer feedback on the feasibility of the plan.

The Successful Applicant:

Experience:

  • At least 2 years in a production control or planning environment.
  • Previous experience with SAP systems.
  • Proficiency in using MS Excel for planning and data analysis.

Skills:

  • Strong ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organisation.
  • Aptitude for detailed planning, scheduling, and maintaining production timelines.
  • Capacity to analyse and interpret manufacturing data to inform planning decisions.
  • Competence in managing work orders and production schedules.
  • Skill in collaborating with various teams, including customer care, to ensure schedule adherence and operational efficiency.

Personal Attributes:

  • A proactive approach to problemsolving and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Quick adaptability, particularly in a dynamic or newly formed team environment.
  • A focus on continuous improvement, seeking ways to optimise processes and workflows.
  • Strong organisational skills, with an eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience in planning multivariant products.
  • Experience in extracting and manipulating data from SAP using Excel.

Additional Considerations:

  • This role is a fulltime, onsite position, requiring a handson approach to support production operations.
