As a Buyer, you will play a vital role in the procurement and logistics team in Process Automation - Measurement & Analytics at the Stonehouse site in the United Kingdom.

**This position reports to**:
Procurement Manager

**Your responsibilities**:

- In this role you will purchase materials according to required technical specification, price, delivery schedule and terms. Obtain supplier order acknowledgements and track goods delivery schedules to ensure on time delivery to customers.
- Initiating purchase orders according to the purchase requisitions and in alignment with standard procedures.
- Obtain purchase order acknowledgments and update SAP with status, provide delivery schedules to production planning.
- Overseeing supplier performance (on-time delivery, quality, lead time) and support resolution of performance issues.
- Aligns supplier orders with customer requirements (based on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)/project requirements) in terms of content, quality, delivery.
- Conducts all Procurement activities for all goods and services in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Ensures SAP Ariba platform is kept updated as defined in procedure.

**Your background**:

- Minimum 2 years of experience in Purchasing, working as buyer/planner within a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated experience working with enterprise resource planning and standard operating procedures
- Knowledge of SAP is preferred but not essential.
- A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills.
