Working within a variety of industries such as automotive, power generation, aerospace, nuclear, solar and fuel to name but a few.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
- Management of subcontractor suppliers as well as material suppliers, ensuring materials are ordered on time and delivered in full and on time in order to support the businesses' operational requirements.
- Ensure all required works orders are available to production as per schedule agreed with Production Scheduler.
- Develop a stock profile to ensure safety stock levels cover LT requirements.
- Develop and implement an efficient method for monitoring all open advice notes and purchase orders.
- Manage supplier overdue PO's
- Prepare and manage the creation of purchase orders for all Production requirements.
- Communicate any supply problems which may impact on the business.
- Build on supplier relationships and formalise communication
- Understand and drive down supplier NCC's
- Work closely with others on procurement related tasks
- Review opportunities for continuous improvement and business improvement
- Ensure compliance and works orders are created in line with the schedule procedures
- Maintain relationship with strategic procurement team.
- Attend all on site Daily standup meetings.
