Production Supervisor

Duties

  • Work closely with the Production Manager and Production Coordinator to implement the program of works
  • Supervise and coordinate the production team to ensure that all joinery products are manufactured efficiently and to the highest quality standards
  • Attend daily huddles with the Production Manager, Production Coordinator and Quality Coordinator
  • Attend and contribute to weekly production meetings
  • Carry out daily / weekly production machine checks and deal with any issues as and when they arise and to ensure servicing is carried out in line with manufacturer's recommendations
  • Ensure Production Health, Safety and Housekeeping is followed and maintained, raising any issues to line manager
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify and resolve any issues or defects in the production process
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency
  • Train, mentor, and motivate production staff to optimise their skills and performance
  • Manage any behavioural or performance issues in line with company procedures, seeking advice from the Production Manager as required
  • Communicate all training needs identified to management
  • Assist with the logistics to ensure goods out is achieved within deadlines
  • Deal with any adhoc production issues
  • Assist with any other duties

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working in a joinery or woodworking manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role
  • Indepth knowledge of woodworking techniques, materials, and machinery
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Excellent problemsolving abilities with a keen eye for detail
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • A commitment to health and safety standards in the workplace
  • A relevant qualification in joinery, woodworking, or a related field is preferred
  • Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor repairs

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent

Pay:
£19.50 per hour

Expected hours: 41 per week
