Key Purpose

  • Leading in-life operations and processes for mission critical fleet customers including the over-arching relationships with all key suppliers, networks, operations teams, account management teams and key customer contacts.
  • Ensuring vehicles and assets are maintained, visible on the agreed platform and managed to provide a reliable and cost-effective customer product alongside agile planning and robust process control to ensure operational delivery.
  • Strong supplier management and stakeholder management is key to the role.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Ensure vehicles are maintained and managed to agreed KIs/SLAs and fit customer requirements.
  • Management of key suppliers within Operations for specific customer needs.
  • Support the Operations directorate function with knowledge and data to drive ownership and accountability.
  • Identify network requirements and opportunities and work with customer and suppliers alike to drive performance and cost control.
  • Preparation of vehicle 'operations and compliance portfolio' for training and skills to technical / in-life teams.
  • SME for new Mission Critical Operations within ALDUK, being the main operations point of contact for customers with relevant in-depth knowledge.
  • Manage the onboarding and ongoing process and checks with suppliers and any 3rd party associated service providers.
  • Support wider commercial teams with new opportunities where operational management is required.
  • Ensuring regular communication with Commercial, Operations and CS in relation to client specific requirements.
  • Identify network and RMT costs with cost reduction plans shared.
  • Ensuring CV, CS and Account Management teams are aware of issues relating to deployment, supply management and fleet related issues.
  • Support commercial teams to manage customer costs and drive revenue.
  • Manage all activity through a supplier system (or equivalent), setting and maintaining clear milestones, actions and accountability.
  • Ensuring accurate forecasting, planning and documentation is shared and up to date.

Skills, Experience & Background

  • Sound working knowledge of fleet operations, fleet management/logistics
  • Experience of matrix management alongside strong stakeholder management.
  • Experience in supplier & client relationship management.
  • A solid communicator with the ability to influence and advise where necessary
  • Commercially minded with evidence of relevant industry knowledge.
  • The ability to work independently with minimal guidance, however also able to evidence being a team player .
  • CPC holder, O Licence would be desirable however not essential
  • Working knowledge of core Microsoft applications (Word and Excel).
  • Smartsheet experience an advantage but willingness to learn quickly is essential.
