Job Title: Global Communications Manager at Basware

About the Company: Basware is seeking a Global Communications Manager to develop and execute their Global PR & Communications Strategy. The role involves managing internal and external communications with a focus on public relations, social media, and internal communications to establish Basware as a thought leader in their industry.

Team Description & Responsibilities:

As the Global Communications Manager, you will work within Basware's global marketing organization, reporting to the Global Head of PR & Communications. Responsibilities include managing a small communications team, collaborating with various departments, and overseeing a PR agency to enhance Basware's communication strategies.

This new role aims to strengthen Basware's emphasis on communications and storytelling within their growth strategy. It involves being the voice of the organization, enhancing reputation, and aligning employees with the business strategy and growth culture.

You will collaborate closely with different teams to ensure effective PR, internal communications, and social media strategies that align with Basware's global marketing approach. Additionally, you will engage with the Executive Team to create engaging stories that support various marketing initiatives.

This position requires managing an editorial calendar, coordinating business announcements, events, and news globally and locally, focusing on key markets like the US, UK, France, & Germany. You will have the opportunity to shape Basware's communication operating model, implementing tools and processes to maximize impact.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a hands-on communications role
  • Demonstrable success in executing PR campaigns and communication strategies
  • Ability to work with PR agencies and optimize collaborations for success
  • Experience in various communication activities including press releases, media interviews, and social media
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable presenting to audiences and challenging the status quo
  • Customer and sales oriented with a focus on aligning communications with marketing goals
  • Passionate about using data to measure communication impact
  • Experience in internal communications and working with HR teams
  • Ability to work in a small team and collaborate with global teams
  • Interest in technology and finance trends such as AI and Sustainability
  • Understanding of news cycles in the US, UK, and European markets
  • Graphic design or video editing skills are a plus
  • Willingness to travel across Europe for communication programs
  • Native English fluency
