The role:


A trust of schools based in Cornwall and the South West are seeking a HR / Payroll Officer to join their expanding team.

You will provide HR and Payroll support across the Trust. To assist inproviding a professional, efficient
and effective HR administration service across the MAT in accordance with agreed policies and
procedures, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation; maintaining confidentiality and high
professional standards atall times; Running an efficient & effective payroll service.

Role responsibilities:

  • Administer an efficient and accurate payroll
  • Be the first point of contact for HR/Payroll related enquires
  • Help administer therecruitment process ensuring all the policies and procedures are
adhered to

  • Initiate DBS checksin line with current guidance
  • Administer any changes to role, grade or pay as per the agreed procedure
  • Provide low level HR support at meetings as required
  • Create absence reports as required
  • Communicate effectively with other staff members
  • Take part in the school's appraisal procedures
  • Experience of using a wide range of office equipment and ICT software, information systems in an administrative environment
  • Payroll experience
  • HR Experience
  • GCSE Level 2in Maths and English, or equivalent
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with a wide variety of individuals
