This role is eligible for hybrid working
We are undertaking a series of projects to improve our ways of working.

As Information Governance Project Lead you will be responsible for monitoring, advising, and assisting these projects on information governance requirements with particular focus on data protection.

You will assist with activities such as data protection impact assessments, risk mitigation, conducting reviews of data processors and ensuring contracts include the correct GDPR clauses.

Where required you will coordinate with the Head of Information Governance to update policies and produce guidance.
The successful candidate must have BCS Data Protection Practitioner Certification or the equivalent knowledge gained through demonstrable experience.

The Information Governance team assists the ICR in complying with both industry best practice and our regulatory requirements for the management of information.

The team is responsible for records management, freedom of information, data protection and assisting with information security.


The role of the broader Academic Services directorate is to create an efficient and effective environment for the ICR's scientific community to flourish.
