Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Activities Coordinator to join our team. As an Activities Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning and implementing engaging activities for residents within the community. Your role will contribute to the overall well-being and quality of life of our service user.

Duties:

To plan, deliver and evaluate a varied programme of activities to support clients' social, physical and cognitive needs.

  • Coordinate a timetable of activities such as arts/crafts, memory games, exercises etc.
  • Source materials and plan content for activities.
  • Lead activities, providing appropriate support to clients.
  • Encourage clients' interests, choices and participation.
  • Support clients' independence through the activities.
  • Develop links with local resources to enhance activity provision.
  • Evaluate the impact of activities and client feedback.
  • Maintain records of activities and client attendance/engagement.
  • Support staff and volunteers in delivering activities.
  • Undertake relevant training to continuously improve the programme.

Person specification:

  • Relevant qualification in activities coordination or equivalent experience.
  • Creativity and enthusiasm for motivating older adults.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of health and safety considerations for activities.
  • Full UK driving licence and use of a car for work purposes.
