A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint Operations Lead for IBD Research Services to lead IBD Research team.

Your work will be to provide professional and managerial leadership to the Gastroenterology Clinical Research Group.


The Operations Lead will ensure recruitment targets are met and ensuring studies are run smoothly and with appropriate ethics and governance, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including clinicians, researchers, CRO's and industry partners, NHS managers, patients and public.


Our focus is to provide the highest standards of care to patients and families, and the research we conduct has these same aims.

This position will suit a motivated, efficient and enthusiastic individual, and will provide an exciting opportunity to have a positive impact on patient care through ground-breaking research.

This is a key leadership role.

The post holder will work day to day with the Clinical Lead for clinical/ professional issues and with the BRC Director for operational and strategic issues.

To provide professional and managerial leadership to Gastroenterology Clinical Research Group.


To provide highly visible and authoritative presence ensuring the provision of high quality, responsive service for the needs of the research participants at the research unit of care delivery.

To provide nursing leadership to the nursing and admin
team.

To work in partnership with the BRC Director, IBD Clinical

Lead for IBD Services and University Lead for Gastroenterology and the wider Senior Gastroenterology Clinical Team to ensure effective and efficient management of services and to meet agreed standards within the resources available.

To be accountable for all clinical aspects of quality within
the service.

To ensure better integration of IBD clinical and IBD
research teams
