Please note:

This part time role will require the successful applicant to work a total of fifteen hours per week, the hours can be worked across two days per week, or up to five days per week.



The advertised salary will be pro rata as the vacancy is part time.

Job description:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to;

  • Maintaining registers and logs
  • Preparing and issuing warrant cards and accreditation cards
  • Arranging meetings
  • Providing secretarial support, including accurate minute taking
  • Providing input into the development of new processes
  • Ordering stationery, photocopying, filing etc

Additional information


This role is based in Bristol, where your presence at this location will form part of the working arrangements agreed with you.

We operate a hybrid working model that allows you to work between home and office locations, giving you greater flexibility about where and when you work.


There may be occasional travel required to other, national locations for meetings and other work, including some nights away from home at other DVSA locations.

You will be provided with full notice of this.

Person specification:


To thrive in this role, you will need to be someone who has superb interpersonal skills, both oral and written.

You are brilliant at being able to adapt your tone of voice and mannerisms to reflect your audience.
You will have experience taking accurate minutes of meetings and good attention to detail.
You have the ability to manage and filter workflow as well as coordinate and prioritise workloads to maximise efficiency.

Being able to manage your time effectively is pivotal to this role, be able to prioritise your work to ensure that you meet agreed deadlines.
