We are looking to recruit a Payroll Specialist/Senior Payroll Specialistto manage a diverse portfolio of clients and take overall responsibility in ensuring all payroll matters are handled with great care and in full compliance with all aspects of legislation whilst maintaining a positive relationship with each payroll stakeholder.

Location is flexible for this role, but candidates should be within commuting distance of our Aberdeen, Glasgow, Edinburgh or Elgin office.

ThePayroll Specialist/Senior Payroll Specialist will be responsible for (but not limited to):

  • Experience of end-to-end payroll processing, including complex payroll processes and legislation
  • Working knowledge of the current payroll and taxation legislation
  • Experience of auto enrolment administration including re-enrolment
  • Excel skills and a solid experience in data analysis
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines whilst maintaining a high degree of accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills (internal and external)
  • Experience in managing client expectations and resolving any issues raised

About You:

  • A leader of your work and your professional learning
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to positively impact and influence others
  • Previous experience of working with IRIS Payroll Professional/PayCircle payroll software would be advantageous although not essential.
  • Applicants will ideally have bureau experience, ideally with a Chartered Accounts firm
  • Relevant experience in this or a similar role is preferred
