Lead Disability Advisor

We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated, enthusiastic, organised and knowledgeable Disability Adviser to work as part of a busy team of experienced Lead Disability Advisers providing a service to University of Manchester students and staff.

You will be an experienced Disability Adviser, able to work independently as well as part of a team. You will offer a daily duty/triage service to support students and staff within the university.

This will include identifying students that require urgent assessment and appointments, identifying appropriate intervention, and supporting access to specialist services and liaison with relevant internal and external stakeholders.

You will have a small caseload of students.

You will be flexible, able to work under pressure and to triage effectively. You will work to build and sustain good relationships with all relevant stakeholders.


In conjunction with existing staff, you will offer training and development for University staff to enable them to effectively support disabled students and staff in the University.

Please note that due to the nature of the role, the postholder will be required to work on campus.
