Family Support Worker - Plymouth

Are you a passionate, dedicated Family Support Worker looking for your next role? 4Recruitment Services are recruiting a Family Support Worker to join a team based in Plymouth.

Duration: 3 months initially

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am – 5.30pm, 37 hrs/week

Family Support Worker role: Full JD Available

  • Deliver high quality family support, assessment and interventions for the most challenging and vulnerable families
  • Identify and reduce risk, and prevent the need for statutory intervention
  • Provide social care departments and other specialist providers such as health professionals and housing
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of children, young people and families
  • Deliver supervised contact, observation and assessment
  • Identifying, escalating and reporting child protection concerns as required
  • Providing high quality advice, guidance and support regarding child safety and wellbeing
  • Actively promoting community-based groups activities, with children, young people and families to support independence
  • Provide practical and emotional support to both children and parents
  • Create reports and statements for, and attending where necessary, case conferences and court hearings to give evidence
  • Attend meetings, reviews and conferences where necessary

Essential Requirements

  • UK Driving License, access to a vehicle, business insurance
  • Experience of working with children and/or families in the community or setting
  • Working knowledge of assessment and intervention methods and tools for use with children and families
  • Working knowledge of child development 0-18 years
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Enhanced Child DBS registered to the update service
