Main Purpose
The NDT Project Engineer is responsible for overseeing NDT technical operations following company protocols and offering support to the Technical Authority and Radiation Protection Supervisor.
Main Responsibilities
- Efficient planning, organization, and supervision of NDT inspection tasks
- Conducting site visits to monitor, audit, and occasionally assist on-site NDT activities
- Providing technical assistance to on-site staff to ensure smooth NDT operations
- Supporting the introduction of new technologies, techniques, and procedures
- Understanding customer requirements and implementing strategies to fulfill them
- Performing additional tasks as assigned by the Site/Project Manager
- Preparing work packs and defining scopes for handover to supervisors
- Ensuring adequate resources are allocated based on the fabrication schedule
- Assisting the site manager and participating in coordination meetings
- Identifying and resolving delivery obstacles proactively
- Conducting necessary pre-job assessments
- Contributing to the development of Risk Assessments and Method Statements
- Undertaking any other duties delegated by the Project Manager and Cost Engineer
Experience and Qualifications
Minimum PCN Level 2 Radiography certification, Level 3 is advantageous
Strong relationship-building skills and commercial acumen
Demonstrated track record in a similar role
Experience in a dynamic work environment
Effective problem-solving abilities
Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
