Job Title: Mechanical Field Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Mechanical Field Engineer / Welding Inspector to perform surveillance and ensure that activities are conducted in accordance with the Contractor's Work Information. The successful candidate will be part of a team responsible for delivering Team Lead duties and ensuring that HPC Quality needs, targets, and expectations are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform surveillance to ensure activities are conducted in accordance with the Contractor's Work Information
  • Record and report findings to the Construction and Quality Team
  • Adhere to and suggest enhancements to company policies, procedures, and protocols for construction, health & safety, and other functions
  • Contribute to surveillance information to support KPI indicators
  • Identify potential Quality issues before they arise to enable mitigating actions
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's / Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Welding Inspector qualification (e.g. 1 or equivalent) and basic 'appreciation of NDT' qualification
  • Experience in large power plant design, manufacture, and construction
  • Good working knowledge of Quality Management practices, methods, and processes
  • Knowledge of the fabrication and installation of pressure systems
