Production Planner at XYZ Company

As a Production Planner at XYZ Company, you will play a key role in coordinating production activities to meet customer requirements efficiently. Reporting to the production manager, you will collaborate with sales and customer relation departments to plan production capacity, specifications, and resources.

  • Analyse production specifications, plant capacity data, and staffing levels.
  • Perform calculations to determine manufacturing processes to meet customer deadlines.
  • Troubleshoot problems during production, such as staff shortages and machinery malfunctions.
  • Plan and prepare production schedules, drawing up master schedules to ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Hold daily production planning meetings with departments to confirm on-time production.
  • Assist in monthly and quarterly stocktakes.
  • Liaise with suppliers for materials and equipment needed for production.
  • Expedite operations that may cause delays and adjust schedules as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with all departments on factors affecting delivery dates and quality.
  • Maintain the stock management system.
  • Support other teams on specific projects.
  • Collaborate with sales and customer relations teams to communicate production scheduling dates to customers.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Well-organized with excellent IT skills.
  • Project management skills and experience are advantageous.
