We are seeking a highly skilled Production Planning Director to join our team at IMI Thompson Valves. As a leader in delivering motion and fluid control technologies, we are dedicated to creating a more sustainable world and improving the quality of life for our customers and communities.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and Manage a team of planners and logistics specialists to ensure the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes.
- Develop and Implement the overall Operations Plan and Master Production Schedule to meet customer demands and optimize production efficiency.
- Oversee the production of finished goods and sales orders, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality products.
- Establish and Maintain planning, stores, and raw materials policies and frameworks to support business growth and efficiency.
- Ensure the timely delivery of production job packs and monitor progress of items and designated order lines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide production planning leadership and support.
- Monitor and Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement process changes.
- Ensure the Health and Safety of all direct reports and maintain a safe working environment.
- Conduct regular appraisals and performance reviews to ensure team members are meeting expectations.
- Extensive Experience in production planning and master scheduling in an engineering manufacturing environment.
- Strong Leadership Skills with the ability to influence and lead a team.
- Effective Communication Skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrable Track Record in production planning with MRP/ERP knowledge and experience.
- Self-Motivated and Target-Focused with a positive attitude and ability to work under pressure.
- Numerate and IT Literate with strong Excel and Microsoft packages proficiency.
