The Role

We are looking for a team Professional Support to join the Wholesale Banking Department.

The position offers a variety of activities, including contact with firms regulated by the FCA, developing organisational skills and managing busy calendars.

Wholesale Banking is a busy and exciting area within Wholesale Supervision, that supervises a number of fixed and flexible wholesale banks as well as keeping a finger on the pulse of sector trends.


What does the role involve? What are the key responsibilities?- Undertaking diary management, meeting arrangements (both internal and external);- Supporting managers, including liaising with internal and external contacts, creating daily packs, organising team meetings and submitting expense forms;- Acting as a general first point of contact for team-related enquiries (internal and external);- Organising documents (Word, PowerPoint and Excel), agendas etc.

;- Updating systems with all confirmed meetings and ensuring that the record is up to date;- Monitor team inbox, filing correspondence and passing to the team for action where necessary;- Responsibility for records management of the teams including records management induction for new joiners and audits to check compliance with records management standards;- Working cooperatively with the PBS team to provide cover for the department and support the departmental initiatives; and- Helping with recruitment processes- Opportunity to learn about the FCA by being part of a dynamic team and by having exposure to FCA's senior management- Insight into high profile and topical issues within wholesale banks- Contribution to realising FCA objectives through operational support- Autonomy/being able to manage your own workload

Skills/Experience Required

Minimum- Experience of managing the diary of a Manager- Experience of managing inbox's for multiple staff- Excellent written communication


Essential- Flexibility to adapt & react to changing circumstances, reprioritising as necessary.- Ability to work under pressure.- Strong organisational, prioritisation & time management skills, with the ability to work in a structured way to a high standard against tight deadlines.- Ability to operate proactively with limited guidance using own initiative.- Ability to handle staff confidential & sensitive data with a high degree of discretion, maintaining confidentiality at all times.- Ability to build good working relationships & networks across the division, the FCA in general and with external suppliers by gaining trust.- High level of accuracy & attention to detail.- Willingness to learn & proactively self-develop.- Proven ability to work effectively as a team player but flexible enough to work on own initiative.- Excellent computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook.- Strong written & oral communication skills, in particular an ability to summarise key 'need to know' issues in a timely fashion.

You work well under pressure, and use judgement to deal with competing priorities.- Possess the ability to engage professionally with a wide range of senior internal & external stakeholders regarding both general and confidential matters.


Desirable- A good understanding of the FCA, the work we do, our structure and objectives.- Familiarity with the FCA's operational policies, procedures & programmes and the capability to demonstrate the FCA's Cultural Characteristics.

The FCA has a national role and is committed to a national footprint. This role can be based in London. Leeds or Edinburgh.

The FCA has London and National Pay ranges to reflect regional differences.

The salary for this role will be:
London - up to £32,000
- _salary offered will be based on skills & experience_

National (roles in Leeds & Edinburgh) - up to £28,400
- _salary offered will be based on skills & experience_


The FCA supports hybrid working and you will be expected to work 40% of your time over a month, in our office.

We will consider other flexible arrangements, for example part time working, and you can discuss this with the recruiter.
