Business Development Manager

London, Greater London, United Kingdom Gunnebo Entrance Control Ltd. Full time

Do you want to be part of creating a safer world? Without thinking about it, you meet us in your everyday life – at home, in transit and at work. We are at the airport, where you commute, where you work, play and shop. Diverse in our offering, our customer outreach and in our mindset, Gunnebo is leading the transformation of the security business through digitalization and connectivity for the continuous development of smart entrance control and safe storage solutions. If you are passionate about being part of an exciting transformation journey working with a global, multi-cultural and highly motivated organisation this is the opportunity for you. Gunnebo is small enough to see your ideas come true, and big enough to realize your career goals.

About The Role:

Reporting directly into the UK Head of Sales, you will own the business in your assigned postcodes. You will have a hunter mentality and be truly proactive in looking for new business opportunities as well as receiving internal enquiries in your area. From identifying your own opportunities to closing them out, you will be responsible for winning your own business.

Technical support is available in abundance and will be on hand to assist you with the design aspect as well as supporting you in meetings or from afar.

Experience within Entrance Control is not a must but experience within this sector or the security sector may be advantageous if you have the other skills we're looking for.

What You Will Do

  • Build, develop, qualify, and close the pipeline of new business opportunities in UK.
  • Maintain and develop a client hunting list, pipeline and sales plan.
  • Ensure the assigned annual sales plan for the role is achieved.
  • Responsible for nurturing and developing relationships with our existing clients.
  • Understand and act upon cross-selling opportunities and present applicable Gunnebo's solutions and services of our full product portfolio.
  • Understand and interpret prospective client's security, operational and financial objectives.
  • Maintain frequent contact with all clients and deliver best-in-class customer service by providing new solutions that apply to client needs.
  • Deliver advanced solution presentations, (verbal and written) to prospective customers that comprehensively outline the solutions, benefits and ROI to the client.
  • Understand and monitor market trends and competitor activity.
  • Stay current with external and internal developments within the industry.
  • Communicate to the direct manager opportunity and issues and propose solutions.
  • Set up ways of monitoring performance of clients and ensure appropriate follow ups.
  • Suggest new product development ideas.
  • Attend trade shows and exhibitions.
  • Travel is required.

Who we are looking for.

  • 2 Years sales experience is a minimum, but we are looking for people we can help mould. Be a sponge.
  • Energy, and lots of it. New business doesn't come to those who twiddle their thumbs, it comes from those who are hungry and have that hunter mentality.
  • Drive. If you want to stand out to us, the one thing we'll be looking for us those who have something to prove.
  • A good understanding of sales cycles, whether it's on a new build development or on a retrofit opportunity. Who do you target, how do you network and who are the decision makers.
  • Experience dealing with the following will certainly be looked upon favourably – Developers, Architects, Principal Contractors, M&E Contractors, Managing Agents, Facilities Management, System Integrators, Security Integrators.
  • Challenger Sales experience would be advantageous.
  • Someone with a voice who wants to contribute to the growth of the business. Your voices will be heard, and you will have the opportunity to run your patch with creative freedom and expression.
  • Someone who will take risks and is happy to learn from failure. We are not after people who are unwilling to learn or try new approaches.
  • Team players. We are building a team not a group of individuals who go it alone. We win as a team, and we celebrate as a team.
  • Forecasting. Unearth real opportunities that don't move from month to month. Prove you can create opportunities and close them on time.
