This local authority based near Twickenham is seeking an experienced
Senior Social Worker to join the Community and Advice Support Team (CAST), which is a Front Door Team to Adult Social Care.

You would be expected to linemanage staff, hold complex cases and be on the Safeguarding Adults Duty Manager rota.

Duties:

  • Support all New People approaching adult social care where there is not a locality or specialist priority need identified.
  • Support New People to a point of resolution, including Section 9 Assessment and proportionate review of new service (Council Commissioned and Direct Payment Personal Budgets).
  • Crisis and Urgent Care Assessment for New People, where response if not health led (hospital admission avoidance).
  • Human Right Assessment for New People approaching adult social care where determination can be made following initial assessment within 6 weeks.
  • Identify and raise Safeguarding Adults Concerns and pass to appropriate team for Safeguarding Adults Screening Safeguarding Adults Procedures.
  • Identify need and refer to specialist teams
  • Occupational Therapy, Sensory (including dual sensory loss), Mental Health including Substance Misuse, Preparing for Adulthood and Learning Disabilities Team.


They are offering up to £35 per hour (depending on experience) with hybrid working (2/3 x office mandatory days and based in the office for duty).
