Main Duties of the Job

We are looking for a qualified anatomical pathology technician to join our skilled team at UHS Mortuary department. Our department handles a variety of mortuary and post mortem services, making it a bustling environment with a high volume of cases. Working hours are weekdays, with a 24/7 on-call service.

Job Description

Job Responsibilities

As an APT at UHS, you will assist in various departmental tasks and perform post mortem procedures independently. This role provides a chance to enhance skills in advanced autopsy techniques and contribute to training programs at the hospital.

We promote a collaborative environment that values staff input in service improvements and supports ongoing professional development.

  • GCSE level A* to C (or equivalent) in Maths, English and one Science subject.
  • RSfPH Level 3 Diploma (or Certificate pre-2014) in Anatomical Pathology Technology.
  • Knowledge of mortuary and post mortem procedures.
  • Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office.

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Remains calm under pressure.
