This is a campus-based role to work as a part of the team that provides technical support to the School of Health Sciences teaching activities.

We welcome applicants with experience of working within healthcare education or similar technical roles. Applicants must have excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills, as well as proven MS Office IT skills, the ability to prioritise and show initiative when working as a part of a team or autonomously.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate understanding of standardisation and quality monitoring. A strong attention to detail is essential for this post.

The main responsibilities of this post will include:

Setting up and breaking down Clinical Skills & Simulation sessionsMaintaining equipmentManaging consumable stock levelsCommunicating and liaising with a wide range of stakeholdersManaging a detailed calendar of activitiesProviding a high level of quality assurance in all activities.

The post holder will report to the Clinical Skills & Simulation Technical Manager. The location of work will be primarily at Highfield Campus, but travelling to satellite campuses is also required. This post represents an exciting and varied professional opportunity within the field of healthcare education.

The ideal candidate will have an interest in healthcare education, working within a varied environment and an appreciation of hazards within the workplace. The candidate must have a willingness to work with a broad portfolio of equipment types, including IT/AV, anatomical models, moving and handling aids, and high-fidelity manikins.

The Clinical Skills & Simulation Technical Team is an adaptable, proactive, professional, and hardworking team and the ideal candidate should have a good range of soft skills that will complement the team’s work ethic.

As a part of the team, the post holder will play an important role in providing support to a broad range of education, research and enterprise activities for all Health Sciences programmes, which include Nursing, Midwifery, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Podiatry, and Cardiac Physiology.
