We're Salesforce, the Customer Company, inspiring the future of business with AI+ Data +CRM.

Leading with our core values, we help companies across every industry blaze new trails and connect with customers in a whole new way.

And, we empower you to be a Trailblazer, too — driving your performance and career growth, charting new paths, and improving the state of the world.

If you believe in business as the greatest platform for change and in companies doing well and doing good – you've come to the right place.

This is an opportunity to work with Salesforce's Tableau Solution Engineering team.

The team is made up of data and analytics professionals who work with customers to solve their business problems with Tableau's world-leading analytics platform.

We are looking for a Lead Solution Engineer to join our team of data rockstars.

This individual will play a pivotal role in supporting our customers' and our sales teams' success by providing technical expertise in the field of data, business intelligence, predictive analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI).

Responsibilities:

Engage customers and collaborate with account teams to understand their needs with respect to how data and analytics can help the customer's business succeed and transform, and how customers can build a data culture.

Demonstrate how Tableau's platform helps the customer drive value through guided evaluations and building tailored platform/solution demonstrations.

Conduct workshops for customers to understand the Tableau platform and drive adoption across multiple groups and stakeholders.

Act as a trusted advisor to our customers, guiding them on best practices, and informing their data and analytics strategies.

Develop and sustain expert-level knowledge of all aspects of the Tableau platform, including data integration, data visualisation, analytics, artificial intelligence,, governance, architecture, security, and scalability.

Lead technical evaluations and responses to RFPs and RFIs.

Work closely with product management teams to stay updated on our latest developments and provide feedback from the field.

Create reusable assets that act as a force multiplier for the extended teams.

Required Qualifications:

6+ years of hands-on experience in business intelligence, data integration, analytics, data warehouses/lakes, or related technologies

Solid data and analytics problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences

Proven ability to build relationships with key stakeholders and customers

Preferred Qualifications:

Background in at least one BI platform (Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, etc.)

Familiarity with predictive analytics and AI, e.g. machine learning

Working knowledge of data platforms such as Snowflake and Databricks; ML platforms such as Azure ML, Amazon SageMaker, Google Vertex, etc; as well as R and/or Python

Familiarity with web technologies such as JavaScript, security protocols, application integration, and embedding

Degree or equivalent proven experience. Experience will be evaluated based on the core proficiencies for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.) .
