Skill Specific Teaching Assistant to work within our Inclusion Hub (The Pod)

Salary Scale:
Grade D Point 5

£12.18 per hour

Actual Salary:
£16,710 based on less than 5 years continuous service - (FTE £23,500)

Term Time only: 38 weeks (43.9 paid weeks per year hrs per week, Monday-Friday.

Temporary Fixed term from September 2024 until August 2025


We have an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled, dedicated and effective Teaching Assistant to support children with complex communication needs in all ages across Years R - 4.

The post will involve working within our Inclusion Hub as part of our mainstream school. You would work alongside a Lead Teacher, a HLTA and additional teaching assistants in a stimulating and varied environment.
- be a willing learner experienced in working with primary aged children
- demonstrate the ability to understand children's learning and behavioural needs and adapt accordingly.
- hold a relevant qualification, or be willing to undertake relevant training
- demonstrate, through practice, their knowledge and understanding of complex communication needs and appropriate planning, monitoring and assessment to support those needs.
- we are keen to develop our Forest School opportunities within the school so forest school qualification would be desirable but not essential.
