About the role:
  • Support service users from entry into the service and throughout their treatment and recovery journey
  • Conduct screening, assessment, recovery planning, and onward referral
  • Minimize harm related to substance misuse for service users and the community
  • Encourage involvement of carers, service users, and the community
  • Advocate for access to partnership services
  • Assist service users in social reintegration, enabling them to lead purposeful lives by promoting recovery and resilience
  • Research, develop, and prepare content for group sessions
  • Deliver structured content to service users in group settings at different recovery stages
  • Engage in debriefing and evaluations with co-facilitators post-group sessions to review progress and address concerns
  • Customize workshops based on service users' needs like anger management and relationships
About you:
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of substance misuse issues and experience in a similar field
  • Experience in group management and handling dynamics like conflict
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with proficiency in IT
  • Proactive, self-initiative, excellent time management, and prioritization skills
  • Solid knowledge of mental health interventions, services, and best practices
  • Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills, capable of partnering with various professionals and stakeholders
  • Capable of managing change effectively to prioritize service user needs
  • Understand and follow information governance processes diligently
  • Actively seek learning opportunities to enhance professional knowledge and skills, contributing to others' development
