An exciting opportunity has arisen within Spectrum for you to join a dynamic team committed to supporting people with drug and/or alcohol issues on their recovery journey. The role of the
**Recovery Worker** based in Adult Community Mental Health Services will support people with both substance misuse and mental health needs that require support from both Substance Misuse Services and Community Mental Health Services.

**Where**: Watford (CGL bases linked to identified ACMHS)

**When**: We’re looking to get the right people into the team ASAP

**Hours**: 37.5 hours a week

**Salary**: £26,393 - £30,316 dependent on experience

(And £657.68 Outer Fringe London Weighting)

**Responsibilities**:
**About the role**:

- Supporting service users from point of entry into the service and through their treatment/recovery journey
- Providing screening, assessment, and recovery planning and onward referral
- Reducing drug and alcohol related harm to service users and the wider community
- Promoting carer, service user and community involvement
- Providing advocacy for access to partnership services
- Working with service users to support social (re)integration, enabling them to lead meaningful and purposeful lives: promoting recovery, resilience, peer support and self-determination

**About you**:

- Knowledge of the issues facing substance misusers including mental health, social care, welfare benefits, health, and accommodation
- Experience of community-based support/outreach practices
- Knowledge of safeguarding risks and escalation process
- Communicate confidently and effectively, verbally and in writing
- Respond flexibly to the demands of the post
- Work as a member of a team
- Show a capacity to work alone and the ability to keep calm under pressure
- Understand and have a commitment to the principles of equal opportunity and diversity
- Employ a professional, empathetic, and non-judgmental attitude towards service users
- Show commitment to facilitating positive outcomes for service users
