Claims Handler - Hanley, Stoke on Trent

Monday-Friday; 37.5 hours per week

Hybrid working available following probation
Davies are looking to recruit exceptional Claims Handler's to join our growing Property team in our Stoke office.

This role will place you at the heart of our customer journey and you will be the first point of contact in moments that matter to our clients.

While industry experience is a benefit, it is not essential as we will provide you with full training and support when you start with us.

Accountabilities:

  • Interacting with a variety of people including customers, insurers, suppliers and colleagues around the country
  • Reviewing policies to correctly determine how to progress a claim
  • Ensuring the policyholder is kept informed on progress of their claim, composing informative letters and other written correspondence
  • Reviewing data to set up new claims, appointing contractors
  • Issuing payments to policyholders as well as arranging settlements and invoice payments where necessary
  • Ensuring claims are updated with any changes on internal system
  • Ensuring compliance with our contractual and regulatory requirements
  • Managing and reviewing diaries in a timely manner
  • Contributing to team, division and wider business growth and development

  • Proven experience dealing with challenging conversations, while maintaining a professional and adaptable communication style
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Efficient administrative skills with the ability to use MS Office with ease
  • A proactive and enthusiastic attitude, with great attention to detail
  • Polite and courteous phone manner

Up to £20,319.00 per year
